Backcasts

Memories and Recollections of Seventy Years as a Sportsman

Fishing, Hunting, and Other Stories

by John Knowles

Experience hunting grizzly bears in British Columbia, moose in Ontario, and deer and antelope in the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming. Fish for salmon in New Brunswick, and trout and steelhead in all the major streams of Michigan.

This humorous and engaging collection describes the beauty and serenity of the water and woods, and one man’s love and respect for the outdoors. Above all, Backcasts is a story of camaraderie—of friends joined by a mutual love of nature and bound by sportsmanship.
